Dude...you're SLIPPING!
Your repeat is WAY OFF! That half a second just ruined your perfect 5 for this glorious piece! Cmon FERREX!!!! FIX THIS! PLEASE!

Other than that, I love it!

EliteFerrex responds:

That must be an issue with NG, because it loops perfectly on Winamp and other stuff.

I don't think I've ever rated you this low before...EVER!...and this hurts my feelz.
You are literally all over the place in this piece, as you stated...you went from off-key, to the original notations. I also have to agree with other posters such as Axelstation, things seem a little higher and others lower than expected. The energy of the piece is what saves you from a 0 bomb (you know I wouldn't 0 bomb you) as it sticks true to the melody of cell...
A perfect Jawline as you say, would probably have to be Cell's Theme upon reviving at the end of the Cell Saga...the energy during those last 5 episodes of his theme was intense.

WIP's are usually loud...but i KNOW you KNOW how to master out the volume... (stares maliciously)
The mastery in this piece can't really be heard...it sounds like some of your earlier submissions back when technology wasn't as...advanced...as it is today.
PLEASE!...for the love of all that is ungodly on newgrounds, drop us something much more, well...MOAR!

Side-Note(off-topic): Your mash-up of the Ninja Gaiden tracks I requested of you, have seen A LOT OF LOVE...don't believe me? Scope it for yourself and seeeeee!

The adversity of Summer Storms and those brewing in your region now, should be something you can give yourself more inspiration towards a rendition of this track. I love the over-all feel of this piece in it's whole...but there is one thing that I would suggest looking into, and that would be the techno'y feel of this piece. You were going for something dark and deep, but in my honest opinion, you went for deep and hyped as it were, and this isn't a bad thing!

Basically, this piece of yours should be considered for a dramatic video of a chase scene or a hero being overpowered by the elements...
There is much MUCH potential in your music and your talent.
I would suggest you recreate this masterpiece with a deeper, darker feel with some acoustics, bass, and a lead guitarist reaching into the "depths of darkness" for the ambient dark required to go totally dark-side creep!

9/10 for you!
I look forward to hearing what else you have in store for us in the near future...

(Just stares at you in disbelief...with a huge evil, but welcoming SHIT EATING GRIN!)
Once again, you surprise me with your shreds. This Fender...sounds...how should I say this without crushing John's (Burn7) ego...fucking AMAZING!

Love how brutal the lead is, and how it doesn't overpower everything else either...as here of late, a lot of artists have been letting the lead just OP their entire track and its an EAR SORE.
Then again, I expected nothing less from you other than ear tingling GREATNESS!
What would have made your track even more brutal...and yes I know I know...particular add-on/additions aren't allowed...but some orchestral vocal hymns would have made this piece stand out literally!
Something to consider perhaps?

DanJohansen responds:

Always awesome to see a review from you man, goes into some delicious depth! I am massively pleased with the Fender, I never thought it'd be this down my alley :)

I've done some vocal hymns in other tracks here and there, but yeah if I added it here it could actually be an improvement now that you mention it!

Awesome review bro, rock on!

Your hi's are a bit overpowering, your secondary and bass are a bit shadowed by the lead.
Your snare has a bit of fluctuation that is heavily noticed through a iPhone's beautiful surround sound speakers...then there's the sound system I use through-out my house, and you can clearly tell everything above.

Your cover is spot on and has a nifty unique touch, but I'd take a look at your mastering one more time and touch up the volume in sections and even go a bit more..."violent" with your bass and secondary in certain areas to give it more of a natural feel, and reign true as an epic cover.

FylypFimpossible responds:

Thanks! Waiting for your analyze :D But I want let you to know that I was recording this cover above year ago, even before my "Heavy" cover of Linkin Park, after this time I did not have willings to polish mix to the edge, so treat this with small amount of distance.

(Glares maliciously)
Sounds like something from the PS2 megaman collection, and I used to just clean house to the MM2 and MM6 stage music back in those days of being a puppy...wett behind the ears...and all that mess.

I like what you did with this piece, but you could have thrown in your own unique flare like you do all the time...surprised I didn't hear it in this piece this time...you losing your touch there ferret? Don't make me give you a taste of human blood and throw you into a berserk animal rage ^_^

Keep up the good work, but don't forget you uniqueness man..,.

EliteFerrex responds:

Lol, remember man. This is a track I made 8 years ago. I've since learned much. xD

(stares blankly)
The hell am I listening to? This sounds like something of a mash-up between Yoshi's Story, Sonic 3 (retro), and a few of those corny puzzle games on the NES...then the twist to something more...to date half way through was a nice touch. The ambiance and soothing feels, made me...feel. But with your turn-around back to the mash-up just threw me out the window (chuckle).

I liked it regardless. Probably something i'd use for an alarm when I have to get up at the ass crack of dawn for work. With that comes 4 stars :-)

ZeldaSonicFan2004 responds:

LOL, coincidentally, 4 is my favorite number. Thanks!

Legacy indeed!!! Where the hell was i at when you released this?...oh thats right...slaving at work to pay my bills just so i can chill and listen to this piece of nostalgic monstrosity!!

5/5 and epic as always!!

The beat is ALL over the place, but it plays out sooo well!
The Dramatic melody change at 2:00 - 2:48 was epic!

DanJohansen responds:

Haha thanks man, yeah the drums change up a lot in this track, it was fun to create though, rock on!

Gotta say two things here...

The original is EPIC IN ALL POINTS!
However, your remake on this (version 2) has more power and flow to it than this piece, but you can NEVER take away from a classic, just add right on to it instead!

Was sifting through the ashes of my favorite artists and I happened upon this...and thought, I know I've seen that title somewhere before...sure enough, I find the revised version and then listen to this...why YES...OH YES!

I know metal isn't your forte, but perhaps give it a whirl and throw in a mass of energy to it...and "feel" the results...

Like Metal, Rock, BGM Revisions & Mixes. Comical Flashes, Parody's, and anything that will entertain me. I will critique to the fullest, add some ideas, pointers, and maybe even assist you in creation of high quality projects.
