After going through some of your work and taking a listen to all my old fav's of yours...I come across this!...I must have seriously missed it...
This piece is something unique to say the least, and I like the change-ups and the over-all beat...but I do have one gripe...the tempo seems a bit...shy of what a final battle theme could yield...
Maybe in the future remake this piece with some good ole turtle wax and some spit shining? LOL

Dragon Spirit - A New Age, Volcano.

I love what you have done with the piece though.
I would advise shaving your fadeout some, and adjusting the "drums" as it were, they kinda overpower your electronic keyboard sounds, and that really isn't a good thing.

KaiserBeats responds:

I know this is from an old game, This ain't even going to be a song for my game in the first, This is just a placeholder, so no need to worry, i made this one cause i was bored, but thanks for the advice whatsoever

How can this glorious piece of Video Gaming Classical Theme NOT get any ratings?
That hype at 1:53! MUCH deserved ear-bud tingling ^_^
Ahh takes me WAYY back to when I used to go for the 101% success of this game....
Ever find the hidden doorway in the next phase of the Himalaya's? Basically a short-cut to the final fight after you "lose" the chest the first time around lol

Just takes me wayy back and I needed this slice of nostalgia.
Your mastering is spot on might I add, and I have nothing bad to say ~_^

LawnReality responds:

Thank you! I'm super glad you like my take on the track!

Screams Castlevania allllll the damn way!
Question is....which game was it? I can't quite put my finger on it...was it Simon's Quest? I hear a bit of Bloody Tears in this melody, along with Wicked Child and Clockwork Tower...

Loving every second of it :)
Do Moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
*ehem*
+5 for you

Now...let's get straight to it and not beat around any bushes here.

Your intro was extremely weak with the fade in...too quiet. The upbeat from there on out recovered it nicely. The beat itself has a lot going on and the percussion is a bit on the weak-side and could use a bit of an increase. Your main melody is quite nice, but with the volume drop near the end really destroys the mood of the melody. I suggest looking into this, and maybe adding in more to this piece...its length is something to be desired honestly.

Overall, this is the kinda music I would expect to hear in a game like that of our Beloved Cavestory :-) Well Done!

DjThiscom responds:

Wow Thx! I like criticism. :)

The hell am I listening to here?
Sounds like a battle theme, then picks up into some kinda chase theme, then back into something that you would hear in credits on our classical 8-bit games after utterly destroying them...and the loop needs to be touched up a little bit.

Over-all, nicely done :)

KaiserBeats responds:

Thanks for your awesome response!

Another Flawless piece!
Excellent work WF, par usual :-)
I sense a little influence from Dynamite Headdy in this mix, along with some of the retro Sega Genesis games like Comix Zone, Vector Man and a few others...but the way this one feels...just screams 90's gaming to me, and rubs it all over my face!

For that, you get a perfect 5 :-P

(Jaw Dropped to the floor)
(Stares Blankly into space)
(Loafs around and munches on some chips)

"...."
+5/5

ShinsukeIto responds:

Thanks for the review, fellow chip-muncher! :)

Very old school, and the change-up to L/R was very nice throughout the ending of the track. Takes me back to the old NES and Arcade gaming days :-)
Well Done!

Now, as far as it "missing" something...not really missing anything here when you're going retro with music. You've got enough going on in this track as it is and in my honest opinion, it's balanced. The "heartbeat" effect though could be dialed down just a little bit as it does get overpowering around 1:15 - 1:20. My sub-woofer ACTUALLY MOVED ITSELF with this track!

Overall, a sexy piece :-)

Holy shit...i downloaded this a long time ago...and didn't write a review? What's wrong with me?!!!!
(facepalm)
Everything that's going on in this piece is brilliant, and the atmosphere it creates gives that essential gamer's most beloved theme for a chaotic battle, or cut-scene!

To be perfectly honest...this piece should be used in various other flashes with some "intense" battles...and hopefully see this piece used in the future :-)

DESHIEL responds:

Nice to see that someone still finds this appealing after madness day.

Like Metal, Rock, BGM Revisions & Mixes. Comical Flashes, Parody's, and anything that will entertain me. I will critique to the fullest, add some ideas, pointers, and maybe even assist you in creation of high quality projects.
