I have to agree with Axel.
The tone didn't really flow with the vocals much in my opinion my friend...but the way you carried the vocals has an A7X feel to it with the way the beat carries your voice.
Love Burns DID carry your best performance in my opinion also, but then again...I've been digging your music since being a part of the newgrounds community.

The shy artist thing...please.
Lock yourself up in the garage and soundproof that bitch...cut loose and let us hear the end results!
Other than all of that, a good ear tingling piece this was.

"More, you must, for us, make you."
(stares blankly into space)

Burn7 responds:

I absolutely agree, the tone of my voice is NOT matching with the tone of the song. AT ALL. But I appreciate your words of encouragement and I'll take them to heart next time around.

And a soundproof garage might just be what I need to keep working on vocal stuff because the paper-thin walls of my apartment aren't doing me any justice.

AT ALL.

Reminds me of SAO and Fairy Tail.
That being said, instant 5 stars!
I do have one gripe...your drums are kinda drowned out by the rest of the track, but frankly...its still an awesome piece!

While listening to this, 100% volume...at 2AM...
My headset died a most WONDERFUL AND GLORIOUS DEATH!
...all while listening to this fantastic chipset beat...

You sir, owe me a NEW HEADSET...or I could settle with another fantastic beat like this one :P

johnfn responds:

Awww. Well, I could try to make another beat. Perhaps.

Years later, I find this ear tingling goodness...
WHY?!
Oh well, Its good to see that marvelous beats like this from classic games still to be heard and HOARDED!

Ahhh the soul soothing melodies from SNES button mashing days of yore!

Hate towards VST Metal? Says who? Zero bombers? Fuck them.
This piece is rockin' ~ cold, symphonic, and catchy.
The only nag I have is the Bass is a little over-powering...but thats it.

Noisysundae responds:

Nah, just those who prefer something from real performance.
Perhaps I cut the mid too much. Will try to balance it in the future. Thanks very much, man.

Love the mix up you got going here WF! Got a lot going on and everything FLOWS smoothly, and screams to my ears that you put a lot of time and effort into this lil snippet of sexiness :-)

The vocal throw-ins are also a NICE touch as well...

Moar Pl0x?
The static there towards the middle was also a nice touch :D
Why do i get the feeling that we're going to see this piece used in a LOT of games in the near future?

For an experiment...this has the suitability to be utilized in MANY flashes!

The tempo starts off mellow, multiple instruments pick up and flow smoothly into the mix and everything pretty much comes together lovely! The "closing" of your piece at 3:00 finishes off strongly as to say the Day is Done, The Battle Over, and I crushed your face into the dirt.

For real...you need to bring your ass back to this piece and WORK on it some more! A little more mastering and sharpening of this piece will result in MAYBE a daily top 5 :-)

Five years later and I finally find this...WHERE the hell was I when I was digging around your tunes? For real...this shit's epic as all hell!

Maybe once you start throwing us out some new stuff, maybe take this piece and redo it with a modern touch of the newer samples?

Crispy, Clean, Clear and has a SEXY feel to it :-)

I hate to say it, but your mastering skills need some rework. Too many of your instruments are drowned out or hold no peak values.

Your take on the original is a good one, but frankly...the mastering of this glorious track does no real justice to the original nor does you any justice.

I would have to say try again and listen to it on headphones, then again on open speakers, then once again on sound to catch any flaws. Ironically, I could not do a good take on this piece...and if I could, I for sure as hell would probably butcher it since I prefer 8 and 16 bit takes on things when I mix.

But if you remaster this, PLEASE for the love of Newgrounds share it :D

Fendroca responds:

Wow thanks for your time to write that.. I've been practicing my Mastering for quite some time now. I'll try using the Techniques you've mentioned.

I kind of abandoned this project, but i'm planning on making a new one when the time comes. But I'm busy with other stuff currently. Making Christmas remixes and an OST for an Important Client.

Very fluid, very smooth, and catchy to boot.
What I like about this beat is that it keeps the mood steady and doesn't break out into a full on hype. The build-up was essential to keep the listener interested in what you were creating and quite honestly, this snipit of glorious ear tickling goodness is what I needed at 1AM est :-)

I do have one gripe, and that would be the fact that it doesn't loop. With this kind of melody, a loop would have sit perfectly, even if the flow had to be adjusted. A prime example would be with the current cuts we hear in video game music today, cross-fading into the same track DOES help when basically jamming to a level's BGM kinda like the old NES/SNES/N64 and Earlier PC days...ahh memories.

Such a piece like this would benefit from a splice/loop.
But over-all I have to give you a 4.5/5 and a 5/5 ~ if you can make it smoothly loop with a slight extension ~ I will for sure grant you a 5/5 5/5 :-)

Keep up the good work
