The cover is just that, a cover.
Screams KSE to the core and that's what's good about this piece. I've heard sooo many takes on this marvelous track of theirs and 90% of them blow. If you were to throw in your vocals, less growl, i'd say you would nail this beast to the wall with a platinum halo :-D

If you really want to give the KSE fans a wonderful take...
Watch You Bleed should be your next cover ;-)
If you need someone to shred like a beast for that piece...Look in the direction of the Wonderful Artist: Burn7

Dude's a beast on the strings ~ and is quite skilled with what he does, when he paces himself :-)
As I can tell from this lovely slice of non-vocal nostalgic cover ~ you're the same way.

5/5 for chuu!
Looking forward to your next KSE cover ;-)

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

thanks very much man. super delayed response. :*( I don't get here often...but I should change that.

Great suggestion. Could happen! Thanks again, for the review and listen and sorry for the delay in responding.

Yo Yo Yo YO!!!!
Waterflame!!!!
Bout time you did a major revision of this wonderful slice of heaven!
Been waiting eagerly for a retake of the classic and let's just say...

"Bye Felicia! NAILED IT! Booya!"

Seriously, this piece has a huge voice and it screams "USE ME IN COLLAB'S!"
Wonderfully done, much more energy than the original, and everything just sits perfectly minus the guitar's pitch around 2:30. A little too screechy imo, but then again...who cares? This <pile>'s done wonderfully, and you can take that to the bank!

The original was epic in it's own accord as I stated to WF when I reviewed and downloaded it...but this take, have you tried listening to it on a surround sound? Soon as I pressed play...my cat freaked the hell out when the first thump at 0:12!

Point people...
This retake from the original is BEAST!
Nuff said, now shut it and download this slice of sexiness :D

KamillasRainbow responds:

Hahaha! Thanks! xD
...yea this is a slice of sexiness xD

Resident Evil feel to it...to the core...
Again with the repetitiveness, but it seems to be a style of yours, so I can't nag you too harshly about it.

Let's get right down to it shall we?
Your lead is a bit quite, and needs a minor volume increase.
There's a slight amount of static noticable throughout the entire track...might wanna look into that one.

Lastly, this would fit into the metal section...as your lead has a metal feel to it.

shadow6nothing9 responds:

I usually make a bunch of melodies, but I usually choose the "catchiest" ones, and
the repetitiveness is on purpose. Most of the tracks is meant for a vocalist in mind. Which I'm still looking for. Too much loud and intricate melodies distract from the singer. This was one of the first things I made with the shreddage X2/Revalver and I must of missed something with the static. Will look into it

Deep, Dark, but seriously repetitive.
The solo changed the pace of the beat and that was a much needed relief on the ears.
Let's put it this way...this piece WOULD fit into the ambient section, but the electric guitar makes it an ineligible piece for the section. General Rock would be a good fit seeing as the mood actually fits a beat from groups similar to Shine Down and Stone Sour (they consider themselves alternative rock...) and the likes.

Maybe shave off a section or two of the same repeating lines and bring your solo closer to say 1:40ish. Reducing the length of the track might be a displeasure to some listeners, but as you sit here and listen, you begin to lose interest hearing the same melody over and over.

Just something to consider my friend :-D

A little over 9 years ago this hit the net...and suddenly, i find this glorious fucking take on Hybrid Theory's #1 track (radio wise)...?! DAMN YOU GOOGLE! lmfao

All i gotta say is that shit is INSTANTLY in my "Beats" folder.
Bring your ass back to Newgrounds and sling us some new shit already!

You can tell you're not an english speaking singer, but HOLY SHIT can you nail them vocals boy!
One of my favorite songs from Hybrid Theory, and you covered it almost perfectly!

You sir, get 5 stars! and a 5 across the board!

Let me enlighten you just a little bit here...
Your rendition of a Timeless Classic, given a metal take, has one flaw...your lyrics are a smidge off...but then again, its metal...so nothing wrong with that \m/

Now, what I have to say to you is if you redo this piece, remove the throat growl to your lyrics and do a sample listen of your take. Why? You have the vocal abilities, and the ending was...different :P

If this was done by memory, earshot, and you threw in some vocals...I'd give you a 5 easy.
Frankly...some of your snipits actually carry the "original" sample feel that LP uses/used.
Just a heads up on that one :P if you were to come back and relive this piece after 7 years, you'll see what I'm taking about bro :-)

Holy...Mother...Of...NEWGROUNDS!!!!
Do you have any idea how you guys actually sound like Linkin Park? No shit...like literally no lie here!
When you guys go straight to your original voices, you can tell you're unique, and that's perfect.

Given that this was submitted last year, to be perfectly honest...I feel it should have been included on their next upcoming album...if they ever get around to getting back to their roots like they "claim" they plan to do so. This piece should be considered....maybe send it to em and blow their minds lmfao

+5/5
