Nothing short of glitchin' amazing!
This was the kinda stuff i expected to hear outta our 80s and 90s video games. To hear it NOW in this era, just makes you wanna go retro and beat all your favorite classocs for the hell of it!

thanks m8!!!

It has come out of hiding at long last!
You have a gap to fill!
BRING YOUR ASS BACK AND MAKE OUR EARS BLEED IN SHEER DELIGHT!

This track...just holy mother of all that is ungodly on newgrounds! Sounds like something one would hear in THUG THUG2 THAW and a few other "pro-skater" games for the instrumental sections!
Well Fucking DONE!

BERSERKYD responds:

WOW ! Thats such an epic review !!! That mean a lot man ! I'll try my best to share more stuff... Youre right ! Thanks a lot !

If a track like this was used in the White Knight Chronicles platformer on the PS3...pretty sure a lot of people would have loved to keep their TV's turned up high!
You should check out the OST's of the White Knight Chronicles game...you seem to have a flare for melodies that are similar in comparison Dan!

If you feel the desire to remix a few of those tracks...you will be the first on NewGrounds to do it and you'll have my 6's across the board (TrollFace)!

Nothing to really critique about this piece. Flawless as usual, and the melody is catchy!
The repetitiveness of the track though...could use a brush up in some places, but then again...who cares, it rocks!

DanJohansen responds:

Glad you dig it man! Yeah White Knight Chronicles 1 was good, was a bit disappointed at the rehashed use of everything in the sequel though :( I hope they make a 3rd mainline game one day from scratch!

So...this is a Genesis style mix? Sounds more along the lines of something from the Sega CD + Genesis chipset to be honest. I mean, if you've ever played Super RoadRash and Silpheed on that console, you would understand where I am going with it.

The Sega CD drive played MP3/WAV tracks without any issues, and the Genesis soundchip incorporated the SCD soundchip as well...as much as SEGA denies it, it's true.
Good beat overall and Im curious to what other type of tunes you'll pump out in the future.

I would love to see a heavy collab between you and metaljonus Dan....
I mean shit, you two pushing out something like this in the future...with more refined instruments...my ears will bleed with sheer delight! (ahem)

This piece takes me back to the Mega Man X days for some reason...it just feels heavily inspired by said game series...and the solo...that fucking SOLO! (drools)
Keep it up! MOAR! MUST HAVE MOAR!

DanJohansen responds:

Glad you dig it man, me, Jonus and Khairul made a collab last year called Chaos Realms, not too similar type of tune, but a metal collab nonetheless! I will def keep coming with MOAR haha :P

I sense a heavy influence from WaterFlame here...and that's epic!
The piece isn't all over the place, and that's always a good thing. I love the atmosphere this piece brings, and the generalized melody really feels like something outta metroid to be honest...I could imagine this piece taking over Trova Clockwork...I mean, just think about it for a second...

I do have a piece of advice for you...with the ending, shave off the last 3 seconds and do a Tie-In to make it loop. With this kind of piece, a loop would suit the mood very well...and if you don't believe me, re-edit the piece to drop a loop and you'll see exactly what I am talking about.

4 out of 5 for all around epicness! Half a star for taking one of newground's greatest artists style and pushing out this glorious piece! Minus half a star cause of the length... tsk tsk tsk

Keep it up! Can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Blarrgensnorf responds:

Thank you so much!! And that's a great idea! I'll try it out :>

Seto's Pyramid has always been one of my favorite levels for many reasons...as you can permanently FLY though the whole stage without losing any MP!...that and the music, the exp, the fighting style and spammage with the warrior ring...ahh memories. Basically turning ourselves into a machine gun like those damn status in the Shin Village dungeon...just Blarg! lol

Bout time someone took some time out to relive their golden days with this game...now you need to remix "Angry Seas". HA!

XxX-WOLF-XxX responds:

Angry Seas was next on my list but I got lazy haha.
Crystalis is one huge nostalgia trip for me so I know what you mean. Thanks for taking the time to listen and leave a comment!

Right off the bat...I get a hint of HEAVY influence by HIM!....just fantastic!
You kept true to the original in a sense, but your intro really drags on til about 0:50...and the length of some of your notes and sounds are a tad too long. This piece was originally made to present the player with an AMP'd up battle mode against Jenova's top half...and be ready for the fight of our lives in a sense! The original was sooo damn ear tingling that it made me buy the OST!...erm...yea.

While the people of youtube will say/do anything...I'm not one to follow suit.
If you increase your tempo by say 10%, you're piece will flare off like a mother fucker! 4.5/5!

DjAtish2012 responds:

Hey thanks man, really appreciate the comment and tips there. this was done a few years back, if I ever go back in re'remixing it, then I'll keep your aid in mind. :)

This takes me back to when I emulated this, bought it for my Wii, and even played it on the original console! While you do justice to an overly remixed piece, the piece itself is quite old...and giving it as much flare as you have, gives you a 5/5 for sheer creativity.

Bloody Mask would have sit well meshed into this piece, as if you play the two side by side with a 6 second gap, the meshing sounds fantastic! There are a few beats outta place when you combine these two together...but if you know your way around meshing up a hybrid mix piece...why YES!...YES YES YES YESSSS! ... *coughs* Ehem...

There really isn't a lot of Ninja Gaiden pieces out there on this site, and those that are...are lower in quality. You sir...must do MOAR!

DjAtish2012 responds:

Lol, thanks mate glad you like it.

Disturbed
Tool
Shinedown
Metallica
Pantera
and shockingly...Godsmack as well as some Cold!

This is pretty damn good! I love the thrashy feel and mash up of all those great bands! Your vocals are pretty damn good as well, and really bring this piece to life! My only gripe is that there's a bit of hesitation with your vocals from time to time...short on breath? ;-)

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thank you, sir. I've been dying to revisit this one. I could very well be out of breath....this is a number of years ago. Since this, I've put in countless hours of practice and lessons and now the singer for a pretty rad band. I'm hoping I've improved substantially to give this fucker even more life!! haha.

Thanks man, for all your reviews and support. Means a great deal to a fucker like me. :)

Like Metal, Rock, BGM Revisions & Mixes. Comical Flashes, Parody's, and anything that will entertain me. I will critique to the fullest, add some ideas, pointers, and maybe even assist you in creation of high quality projects.
