Lets just say +10 :-)

*follower added* (or would it be considered stalking?....who knows)
You know what I do when I find a good piece like this? I tend to lurk around the artist's page checking out their new/old work and either crushing them, or listening to their entire library of submissions.

YOU have just earned that honor of being "followed"!
Another great piece to add to my collection of NG metal!
You don't need any vocal's for this piece to be honest, as its brutal on its own. I suggest keeping this piece up for others to enjoy as much as I'm enjoying it!

Not all that overboard, just needs some refining.
You have the general feel of a dance mix, but your instruments need a little touching up, and the flow needs to be checked as well. While each note is played properly, they don't sync like one would expect.

I'll give you an example: Your latest piece you have submitted.
THAT was a damn good listen, and maybe you could finish out this piece in a similar fashion.

Uh...what do you have me listening to here? Sounds like sooo many classic 8 bit games it's not even funny. When you get to be my age (29...and a gamer since the age of 4, no lies) you catch up on those subtle hints of some of the classics. Its not a bad thing, in fact its what I look for when listening to remixes and various revisions to some of my favorite games. Fresh work is always welcomed, and this piece in particular has perked my interests.

There is one flaw I found with your piece, that I suggest you consider revamping as quickly as possible: Looping.

General Looping for any track under 2:30 should be considered to keep your audience captivated and make them want more then what you currently have to offer. It's a sexy piece, and I loved the listen.

For that, I thank your for the ear tingling ^_^

SmallArmsMusic responds:

I actually made it a point to avoid looping in this particular song because I've always thought of it as nothing more than a musical shortcut, and I've seen these results on a previous piece which was incredibly complex. Not for the average quicky-listener, I guess.

I'll be sure to incorporate a consistent support melody in the next production to see how that works out - I suspect it'll work well.

I'll just have to find a good compromise between what I want and what people want to hear. If people don't like it, then there's no reason to make it. Thanks for the tip

SOAD? Korn?

What? No way. Just another head banger's melody to get the blood pumping before a Pantera concert >=)

WHAT?! Im old skool like that.
Mastering does need a bit of work, but I enjoyed it none the less.

Keep at it, You'll get it :D

KKSlider60 responds:

Hah, groovy tastes. I like that. \m/
You know what? I think Phil Anselmo would sing on this.
KKS

Now this is more like it! THIS is what I would come to expect for castle based music. The flow is pure to the title, the atmosphere this creates is pure ambient. A job absolutely well done!

5/5 hands down!
Perfect looping is ALWAYS a welcomed plus in my eyes ^_^

Crazy mix-up. In fact, I like it.
Capture's that feel when you VERY first encounter the champion and your like OH S@#$!
I do have a suggestion, consider lowering the volume some.

Reason: at 15% volume, my headset red-line's. Maybe a reduction of volume by 20% will be sufficient.

jojoBiBop responds:

Hey i didn't thought of that! thank you and thank you for your kind words.

*sits, listens, wonders, plots, previews*
Hmm...has an electronic feel to it, and reminds me of 16 bit gaming somewhat for some odd ass reason.

3 stars awarded for a perfect loop
1 star awarded for a 99% accurate mastering
1/2 star awarded for length

1/2 star deducted for lack of build-up.

I love what you have done here, it just needs a general kick in the ass for a more chaotic war feel. Territory War ~ Subtle name = chaotic music that makes your pulse pound as you play.
If this is an unfinished product, I would like to be one of the first to hear your finalized piece!

Sounds like something you could use for an advertisement with multiple clips of the actual montage/game itself. Just has that kind of feel + hype to it.

Not bad for an unfinished product, not bad at all.

Nervousnoob responds:

Thank you so much good sir!

Hey! YOU! Yes you! *points* C'mere ghecko...
*grabs and throws into a room filled with nothing but speakers with your track on repeat*

I have one general question for you...Do you really think this piece fits into the metal category? I don't.
You should move it to the rock section, as it's not heavy enough to be here in the metal section. Sure, the lead sounds metal, as do the drums, but the tempo is too slow, and the feel isn't "metal".

Sorry to disappoint you.
Still a nice listen though.

Ghecko responds:

So there's no slow tempo metal out there then huh. Well anyway, I honestly think it's too heavy to be general rock. I think you'd say it isn't metal because of really the second half of the song which I agree is more melodic. I mean it's not aggressive or heavy in tone as say Pantera but I still think it has one foot in the genre at least.

though, after a year of thinking about it now... you may just be right. Butt fuck it, I think the metal section is more popular for it.

thanks for the feedback.

Like Metal, Rock, BGM Revisions & Mixes. Comical Flashes, Parody's, and anything that will entertain me. I will critique to the fullest, add some ideas, pointers, and maybe even assist you in creation of high quality projects.
